how exactly do proteins inhibit gene expression
do they just latch on to that section of dna and modify it so that whatever proteins are synthesized from that gene as a result of the modification have no real function or is the gene modified so it no longer codes for proteins or what
also how do the proteins know to go to that gene and start doing stuff to it like i know it’s all dependent on the aa sequence but does the cell just always have certain genes that aren’t meant to be transcribed and translated or is it an aberration in the aa sequence or formation of the protein that causes this or??
this isn’t phrased very well sorry but can someone please explain
